Recording Video Software?

okay, well basically I want to record videos from my webcam so I can upload them to youtube
and I really don't know any decent software, so can anyone recommend any? that'd be amazing

I believe Windows Movie Maker can do this. On Windows XP & Vista it will be already installed with your PC. And on Windows 7 it is available for free download here: http://download.live.com/moviemaker

There is the ability to record from your webcam on it, then you publish the movie and upload the file to YouTube
