in hockey i doubt a offside rule could be activley enforced efficiently as the play is too fast paced, but it football there is no need to abolish it.

I've never agreed with offside, it was brought in to stop goal hangers but its really annoying when your player gets caught offside for like a centimetre!
I say scrap it!
lol that's stupid the only reason that works in hockey is because it's faster and more technical. The whole tactics of football would have to be changed to suit this. No way should this go ahead.
Hockey offsides are easy to enforce, if someone in the opposite team is over the blue line before the puck is over the line, they're offside, faceoff on the line as a result.
I doubt this will happen in football, it adds something to the game, yes we moan about it, but hey ho, it's one of those things.
