Default iPod Touch screen gone white?

I've not used my 2nd gen touch in a few days, its been sat on my bedside table.

Gone to use it, expecting to see the flat battery sign, it's come up with a white screen.

Putting it on charge, but it's still got it on it. Am leaving it a few minutes and trying squeezing the bottom and a reset. Any ideas? Will leaving it to warm up help?

You've tried resetting it (holding down home and lock buttons simultaneously)? Sometimes you need to hold them down for a while.

Does it come up in iTunes when you plug it in?

I would say resetting is the best option or as said above, try connecting to iTunes.

This happened to my iPod a few weeks back. Just restore it through iTunes.

pressed down on the back of it a bit, and it worked. reckon its a loose connection. happens every 4-5 months or so.
