You dont need a licence for a samurai sword. You just cant get the curved ones - only straight ones which are legal. But you may be asked why your buying it. But tbh - I am just gonna say collecting them.
EDIT: Oh and you have to be 18+

why carnt you have curved ones like, theyre the best ones lol
Surely you either ban all swords or none :s another law to make it look like things are being done when really it just hits the law abiding people who own up to having weapons that are being made illegal........ The criminals just keep the ones they had or buy the others that go on the black market by the people wanting to sell and not hand them in for free.
Because curved ones are completely different. The straight blades are basically the very crap and cheap version of a curved one.Surely you either ban all swords or none :s another law to make it look like things are being done when really it just hits the law abiding people who own up to having weapons that are being made illegal........ The criminals just keep the ones they had or buy the others that go on the black market by the people wanting to sell and not hand them in for free.
It is stupid though, why not try and reduce them being sold on such sites as Ebay and from selling them on the streets? Surely they could of just had like a legal shop where you can only buy swords from there.. or why not put a licence into place in order to own a sword?
