Perhaps you missed the part where i posted that we get a lot of international news?I think its obvious that a British getting kidnapped in Pakistan will mainly be on British and Pakistani news, not Australian headlines. Garion was right in saying "If you are going to visit a forum with a high proportion of British members, then expect to see British news posted.".
anyway, i'm not going to reply back here on this topic because of oli's luverly private message.
It is kind of a catch 22.
For it to succeed we need international players to organize events, competitions and donate furniture. However we don't have a great deal of international members here to take them roles.
So it would be really hard to do, i myself tried with habbox.us but because i didn't play US i couldn't provide the US community with as much as habbox.com could provide UK.
Personally i would love to see it happen but if it was tried again i would:
- Hire more international DJ's
- Hire international events/competitions team
- Get some buzz around it! Do some big week full of events, scape some prizes together
- No more separate sites, hx/hxf/hxl will focus internationally (mainly USA)

I think more international activity would fix the current inactivity the forum is currently experiencing too. I think Yonder's outline above summarizes what needs to be done quite nicely.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
hey don't hate on australians we will blow you up with americas nukes
;/
People say we have tried and failed but have you heard of the saying "never give up?"
Thats something that annoys me with habbox is that they will try something for few weeks and if its not working the way they want it to they forget they even tried at it. If we had a few International events/comps that should atleast start to bring in more people if there is enough advertising around the hotel.
I know Its hard to get interest from other hotels but if you stick at it we will eventually get up there.
We tried it for more than 2 weeks lol. But I'd be happy to help in anything international based, as I've got quite a bit of furniture on various international hotels. All our international folks end up on Habbo UK, because that's where all their UK buddies are- from this it is clear that there will never actually be any new members coming into Habbox. It is possible though, take for example (in the past because now it's become worse, but still holds itself) HabboHut, they managed to get people from every English speking hotel to their site. This was partly due to various staff DJing, but also due to the amount of DJs, events stuff etc. that actually played their own regional hotels, plus there were regional managers.
I'd say if we are happy the UK side of Habbox is going close to 100%, then you could try. But I'd mind you that this initial 'hype' would die down and the international effort would slowly die out, like it has numerous times in the past.

HabboxWorld was just used as a place where practically anyone could get smod :L
The other day I was in a toilet.
A voice came from the cubicle next to me: "Hello mate, how are you doing?"
I didn't want to be rude, so I said, "Not too bad, thanks."
I heard the voice again. "So, what are you up to?"
Again I answered, "Just having a quick ****... How about yourself?"
Then I heard him say "Sorry, mate, I'll have to call you back. I've got some **** in the cubicle next to me answering everything I say."
