Default US and Russia to cut Nuclear Arms

US President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev have agreed a new nuclear arms reduction treaty after months of negotiations.
The treaty limits both sides to 1,550 warheads, about 30% less than currently allowed, the White House said.
The deal replaces the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty. It will be signed in Prague on 8 April.
Both sides agreed to cut their arsenals last year, but disagreements on verification have held up a deal.
In a speech in Prague last year Mr Obama set out his vision of moving towards a world without nuclear weapons.

I don't know whether I believe that Russia will actually cut their Nuclear Arms, it could just be Russia taking advantage of Obama who thinks everything is great in the world. So what you think? Will Russia/US cut their nuclear arms, or will it just be loads of hot air?

It makes little difference, MAD (Mututally Assured Destruction) exists with 2,000 odd weapons or 5,000 weapons. The United Kingdom at least should not be cutting down on any nuclear weapons and the benchmark should remain (for us) at the 200 mark. They are the most important factor in the defence of a nation.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Both russia and the US have a history of dealing with both sides, e.g the US in WWI and WWII.

Haha, I sense a disaster! LOL

Russia will pretend to decrease its warheads whilst the US actually does it, then BOOM.
