    I don't see why this is important though unless you're doing something dodgy?

    I suppose he just doesn't want people to know his contact details? Doesn't have to be dodgy.

    Namecheap give you a year free of Domain protection last time I bought from them (3 months ago).

    Fair enough. Namecheap do still offer the free year of whoisguard though . Also free SSL if you're interested in that.

    Or, when you sign up, dont give your actualy home address, just something close to it... thats what i do...
