The labour party are clearly pushing as many things as possible to fit in to these regions (There is talk of regional councils and removing city and county councils) so it will be an instant switch over when the time comes that the EU make us through their laws which over rule our own.

Do you just want us pushed in to Europe by using stealth tactics by people with hidden agendas? or would you be happy for the country to go to the polls and decide?

these regions were already firmly carved out before the EU even came to town so how you can link the decision i don't know. where is 'this talk of removing city and county councils' - sounds like complete rubbish if you ask me. it's always been argued that merging of these public services saves money, that's why they do it.

I will find the article about what the visions are for the councils.

I'd wait until I see more proof on this before making a judgement, but I would not be surprised if it was true

The whole region thing has been going on for years as far as I am aware? They're based on regions, like East Anglia (known as East) as far as I remember, but I could be wrong :/ It's how they've done news reports too - Look East, South East etc etc/

Here is a story that most papers printed a few years back
    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...cle1076910.ece

The EU recognise England as regions
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_England

The government are trying to force our police forces together so they fit in to the regions that th EU recognise us by (Even the police dont want it)

an old article when it first came out

    Still going ahead?

    Regional fire service
    http://www.greatyarmouthmercury.co.u...A07%3A20%3A903

Most ambulance services are now broken in to regions but cant find a very good article on them
    http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk...l/article.html

The UK government may claim they will not break the country up in to regions but by pushing all our services as regional they will have a great reason to kill off all our traditional counties when the time is right. They are trying to break the people of the UK so we just let them walk over us and I think they are doing a very good job at it :@ I can only see the EDL growing and huge public disorder on the streets if nobody stands up for the UK very soon.
Yep I would say thats enough. Crazy idea. The pond is the atlantic between us and the states - everyone knows that!

Clearly not the douchebags who came up with this idea. Assuming the belgium leader approves this, it's like saying "hey thanks for saving our butts 70 years ago, now you don't exist".
