If most of you actually bothered to read my post I said a year was just an example and sam/jin could work out the criteria. I like the unverified idea but i think if someone hasn't been online for years and have a low post count then their username should be freed up to someone who is active at the moment, e.g the user "dave" may not have been active for 5 years, has 30 posts and theres the user dave007 who may want his name?

Yeah, delete ones with either none/or very little posts (those being over 2 years old) or something.

Chances of deleting accounts with posts are slim.

I think it is a brilliant idea. I was about to say that the 'Unactivated' members who have maybe under 100 posts could be deleted so their would be more names availible!!
