The things people said about needing a table item like a CD or a coin to roll things onto is perfectly correct when dealing with stacking inside the regular boundaries of a room. However, once outside, all you need is a piece of furni, not necessarily a table object and things will roll on. Seeing as rules don't seem to apply, you could tell him to put a chair in the doorway and one of two things will happen:
    1. Either he will be able to roll something into the chair and put whatever else he wants in the door (not following regular properties of chairs)
    2. Nothing will roll into the chair and he'll be stuck with a chair there permanently.

If it's still ongoing, someone suggest putting a chair in (you'll need to assertain that it's just a chair on it's own though, and not ontop of a CD).
Thanks, i still cant work out how to get a mode bar in there though :S

It's difficult for me to guess how since I don't know how the spaces work in comparison to regular spaces. If they do work the same way then you could either:

Put a cd down in the door, then you should be able to just place something ontop of it. Although this probably wouldn't work since the way to put things in where there's furni already in the door seems to heavily rely on rolling.

If that didn't work you could try using the method used to make 3-space long bars and such like. You'd put an item like a cd onto a roller setup facing the doorway, then as the cd rolls, you'd merge a chair into it. Then when that rolls into the doorway, it 'resets' the hieght of anything you place on the cd. So before where it wouldn't let you place anything onto the cd, it should allow you to after doing all that. That's how I'd do it anyway but I say again, that's just my best guess.

Haha, took the words (quite liturally) from my mouth there!

Saw the thread title I was getting my fingers ready to type a lengthy paragraph on how it was done before, how it can't be done now but how you can create a similar illusion IF you ALREADY have ANY furniture in the doorway...

But yeah, you've pretty much done it for me! Thanks.

Yea, the guy who had done this wouldn't take the mode bar out of the doorway. He said because it was a pain getting it in.

    Not online very often

Pain aka impossible - truely I'm afraid... if you checked his rooms FlatID you'd find it was pre v9 (when it was finally patched... although rotation into black was patched after this).

i'm guessing, since his account is from 02 that this was done way back when it was possible.
if he actually shows someone, or removes all furni from doorway, and redoes it i'll believe it but for now i do not.
    Signature coming soon.
