GIMP apparently does it better. As you can see in that video, you can tell content was removed (look at the sky in the desert) and it makes it pretty obvious in a GIMP-CS5 comparison Originally Posted by MattFr
EDIT: It does a better job and removing the road. The CS5 version just chucks aload of dotted shrubs, while the GIMP one appears to add quite a large bush keeping in tune with the rest of the picture.

Gimp is a pain in the arse to use though. From playing with it I've found it isn't all that coloured, I tried removing a polar bear from a tundra and it replaced it with yellow snow...
