It's all well and good building these stadiums, but Fifa always say they want to leave 'legacy' in the countries that the world cup is hosted, will it leave Qatar a legacy? I doubt it. Also the heat, yes they say they will 'air condition' the stadiums, that will work for the fans as they're just sitting doing nothing, however the footballers will be working tirelessly, and the humidity will still get to them, the air conditioning won't make a difference, unless they put roofs on all of the stadiums to stop the scorching summer sun getting onto the players then I don't see how they're going to stop players from dehydrating.
I'd love it to go to Qatar, but I don't see how it can, there are too many obstacles in the way, heat, lack of interest for football their, poor national team, small-ish populations, also there isn't any huge stadiums from what I can see that would be eligible to host the World Cup final? doesn't Fifa require like a 60,000+ seater stadiums for the final?
Anyway, saying all that, money talks, and Qatar have a lot of it.![]()
