Well it looks to me like he has used some sort of putty or wax instead of gel
I use Moosehead wax to mess my hair up... and it smells of chocolate... Can't beat that!

I have some styling wax, think when i do my standard current, front sweep, middle/back spikey style i may put too much on and it looks like a wet effect gel

    This is also pretty wicked.

Would the front sweep be hair dryer just after washing?

Oh i see, you do it when its damp?

I thought you did it when it was dry, might go wash my hair put a bit of wax in it and see what i can do with it.

Its not too long, at max its like 1 /12 inch

I use VO5 Texturising Gum, comes in the small metal tin (I got the special edition one with the Union Jack on the lid). It could help you get that style without making your hair look greasy or wet, pretty good (not if you have really thick hair like me though )

I use Muk (wax). It works great considering I have fairly long hair and have it really spiky I really recommend it.
