I have an alternative too, which would be Lorenzo Spies at Yamaha, Rossi, Hayden @ Ducati and Stoner Dovizioso at Honda.
I'm even more inclined towards the second one as Rossi has hinted at finishing his careeer on an Italian bike.

Well I'm all for a good conspiracy and it adds to the fun of things.
Rossi said at the end of last year that he has told Yamaha that they have to choose between him & Lorenzo for 2011.
With no disrespect for Rossi, he doesn't have many world championship winning years left in him, Lorenzo is 10 years younger than Rossi and has a lot of championship potential for the future. So as a business decision Yamaha would have to choose Lorenzo really - especially if there was a Honda seat (which there will be) trying to lure him.
Rossi likes a challenge, the ducati would be a challenge. Ducati are Italian, Rossi is the most famous motorcyclist in the world and also Italian, Ducati would willingly ditch Casey Stoner for Rossi. Simples.
That leaves Stoner without a ride, but does it, we've seen him ride a Honda relatively well in 2006 - when he didnt hit the gravel that is.
So that's my conspiracy anyway. You heard it here first.

That would be interesting, I'd like to see an Italian on an Italian machine. He's always said he wants to end his career on an Italian bike.
