I Agree on this, If you have been banned on the forum you shouldnt be allowed your old forum name back, as it will only confuse forum members
Example (Sorry to Blinger for using him as an example)
Blinger gets banned
he then creates another account and requests his name to be changed to Blinger,
That will only confuse Members especially if it was a perm ban, people would think Blinger he has been unbanned.
Which in the future may cause Havock.

I don't care, i'm a hypocrite (i admitted it in my first post).I Agree on this, If you have been banned on the forum you shouldnt be allowed your old forum name back, as it will only confuse forum members

yeah its only a name lol.........you should be allowed it
I got banned on here on my tidgypie account.
Tidgypie is the name of my habbo so if i asked to get it changed to my habbo name would they change this account to tidgypie?
forever the queen.
yeah but tidgypie is a horrid name
idc.
anyway i have other habbo names so![]()
forever the queen.
it shouldn't though, even though its your habbo name you were bad enough to break the rules and you should pay the consequences for your actions on that account.
If you're staff i can see the point of it as i've had like 3-4 banned accounts name changed as i became staff, but other than that they shouldn't be changed
This would never have been allowed in a million years 12 months ago and I wouldn't agree with members coming back and just getting a name change. But in these instances I believe that some reward for coming back and being as an asset to the forum should be rewarded and it's a nice reward.
I am inclined to agree with Rosie on this matter. It depends on the context of the situation I think. For example if SOLAR FLARE!!! came on and said I want my account name changed back to "xyz" the answer would be no. The nature of his past rule breaking and the fact that it is likely upon his return his behaviour wouldn't be ideal (i.e. posting pornography) we wouldn't be willing to grant the name change.
In a situation where a member gets a permanent ban and returns, does something to gain VIP and goes on to provide a positive contribution to the community I see no reason why we shouldn't, as a little concession to the permanent ban, grant a name change so as to acknowledge their change in character.
If I were to say "we're unbanning all permed accounts" I think some of those that oppose this might agree it's a good idea. Well I know they would... this is a less extreme concession that I think is perfectly fine providing it is exercised fairly and properly.
