I actually agree with Adam about it being a huge exaggeration. Couple of days a week I live that binge lifestyle that Skins portrays (and further, considering how tame the 3rd/4th series lot are), as a very large number of young people do, but to suggest it as the full-time norm for everyone like the show seems to can hardly be claimed as an accurate portrayal of teen life.

It's quite fine to exaggerate on screen, but not if you're then going to say that you're showing life as it is. I enjoyed the first two series immensely, simply because the characters were good (the new characters are boring as hell) and even from a "fan" stance I can accept that it's not reality for the masses by any stretch of the imagination. I'll probably see the film but I don't have high expectations for it really.

I like it, it exaggerates at times, but some of the stuff is legit, the show needs to be exaggerated though, cos ino I wouldn't wana watch a show about a bunch of teenagers posting on a habbo forum.

    Thank you.

That stuff DOES happen, but the way the show portrays it as every damn thing happening at once, all the time is ridiculous.

I do agree they do go over the top.
Also I dont really see how this will work as a movie, not really getting my hopes up.

Probably the only time I've ever agreed with you. The first couple of series were just amazing, but after that they threw everything they could think of to give Skins an 'edgy' feel, like random depression and suicides and stuff. Effy's depression actually made me rage at how stupid it was
