I dont see how people can be dissapointed with whats been announced. I wasnt expecting HD and half the stuff the mentioned. I am actually very impressed.

IMO its the same old people spewing the same old 'z0mggg this is old stuffz'. Rrally, HD on a phone? Free video calling iphone to iphone?

Im sold on this, im pre ordering.

Well you weren't really looking into predictions then. A camera on the front and HD were widely expected. It may well be the same people spewing the same old stuff but the bottom line is, they're not new features and there's a ridiculous amount of hyperbole surrounding it. Steve Jobs could probably push out an iCrap and people would applaud.

I'm an apple fanatic, like seriously. But this is honestly a joke. Like the iPad.. Ooh, Steve Jobs got a steamroller and ran over and iPod Touch.

I agree with the iPad, but have you actually seen the new iPhone? Its a juge update, 1ghz processor???? 5MP camera???? HD recoring. Free iPhone to
iPhone video calling, hugely improved screen, able to create movies with your HD video right on the iPhone.

You mean the processor that they have to actually MAKE SURE that their logo is on it so that when it breaks, you know exactly where to return it to? :]

Hi I am Stefan. And to be quite honest I am astounded that you expected 3D on a phonw before it has even been brought to the masses? 3D on a phone would be as useful as a my dog using a knife and fork.

If you don't read the rumours then how can you know what to expect? "I wasnt expecting HD and half the stuff the mentioned" - The rumours are pretty accurate in predicting the iPad and most iPhone features in the past so they can hardly come as a surprise.

I'm not Anti-Apple at all, I'm anti-hyperbole and anti-apple fanboys. I was very negative of the iPad and will continue to be until someone tells me how it does anything more than an iPod Touch (and i'm talking more than just "well it has a bigger screen" or "oh it has a sim card"). I think the additional battery life for example is a welcome addition, all smartphones suffer in this area. I also look forward to iOS4, the categories will be very useful for my 64GB iPod Touch (I do own Apple products ). The processor will no doubt be a good thing too.

I've little faith in the camera though, the iPhone camera has never been particularly amazing in the past, the one on the 3GS is good but nothing to shout about. HD Recordings aren't up to much though, the HTC EVO 4G has 720p recording (HD) but after watching some videos made on it they're nothing to shout about:

I'm sure the iPhone 4G will be exactly the same, it won't be any better at recording than other devices and the HD label is just to lure people in. The video calling really isn't anything new or revolutionary nor is a book store for the iPhone, Amazon Kindle has had an iPhone app for books for ages now.
