    Default My Computer Resolution

    Hi,

I've noticed that when I boot my computer up, if I don't have my monitor on before it goes to the logon screen it resets my screen resolution to 1024*768 however if I start it up and turn the monitor on first before it manages to get to the logon screen it stays as 1280*1024 like I want it, is there anybody who has a solution to stopping it doing as it wants?

    Thanks

Open your video card's control panel (Start -> Control panel -> then likely to be Intel/Nvidia/ATI) and see if you can find an "Auto detect screen" setting.

If you find one, try switching it off and then setting your resolution to 1280x1024.

Thanks for the suggestion, can't find an auto detect setting in the Intel control thingy, would there be somewhere else it could be changed?
