appaling performance from england, these are players worth millions of pounds who were playing against a team who haven't qualified for the world cup in 24 years.. shocking. if you put people in the squad who would put 100% effort in and who were happy to be paid a fraction of what the normal england players get then even then they'd still produce a better result.

Thing is, England are expected to go far in the World Cup, unlike our friends north of the border who fall at the first hurdle every time.

Did no one else think that ref was absolutely ****, missing corners and fouls left, right, and centre.. It seemed to me that England was fouled every time we created an opportunity or the tempo picked up, and the ref was blind to most of it. Heskey is a prime example, fouled 2-3 times in quick succession and Algeria were not penalised, he has a little dig back and is penalised.

Yes I miss Hargreaves too. Injury free he's the best holding mid we have and is also extreamly experienced.

I think though if we're going to do a 4-5-1 with Gerrard and Lampard, then it's better to play Milner and J. Cole on the wings, as they track back more than say Lennon and SWP who will bomb forward.
