So one of over 45000 members is picked at random to fill in a survey, we have to hope that they're actually online at some point to do it, and then it gets plastered at the top of the forum so we can all see what .::.:BL4STO!SE:.::. likes doing in his spare time?

It takes new users a bit of time but they eventually get to know people. I really think this isn't needed. They can simply see the details on peoples profile. It can also lead to bullying and piss taking.

I think we should have a generator type of thing which grabs a user who has registered in the last 10 days and displays their Habbo name, interests etc. from profile.

Yeah i think thats a better idea calv. I mean we already have that thing at the bottom of the forum that states our newest registered member. Maybe we could just have like a rotating thing that shows the most recent registered users or something.

Although i don't think it is needed as we have the welcome forum already. Maybe we should have something that automatically directs new member to posting a thread in the welcome forum? I think it we started to plaster the names of people who have just register and personal details like age etc on the front page of HxF could scare some of the shy members. I mean when i first joined HxF i would have felt really uncomfortable seeing my name all over the page and loads of people PMing me or something.

So maybe just something that points them in the right direction to posting in the welcome forum would be adiquate.

It wouldn't display things like age, just stuff like Habbo Name, Interests, Hobbies and only shows them if they are filled in if possible, and maybe put a warning that members can view the details.

I'm not sure about the index, maybe somewhere at the top 'Say hello to our newest member Skizzling!' or just a page Member of the day or as Dan said, a rotating thing like Habbo had but only people who have registered recently.

Maybe something like they have on Habbo with the random Habbo's standing next to each other linking to their homes? (but for Habbox linking to their user profiles)?
