It'll never be the price they've put it as, you're charged more for everything. Food, baggage, how you pay & choosing to sit with one another will all be factors that change the price.

I think the cabin crew would ask you to sit down if you stood up with a seat belt strapped around you..? :rolleyes: Of course you need to be sat down.

What a silly idea. i'd rather pay an extra £200knowing I won't die.

You're hardly gonna' die just because you're stood up (you lean against something).

Of course this won't pass health and safety, but it had good intentions

I hate RyanAir as an airline so much. They come up with some stupid ideas like "£1 to use the toilet" and this story has been rumored/announced/whatever for quite some time. I would rather sit down on any flight, no matter how short or long it was.

To be honest if they did somehow manage to get this through health and safety (which they won't) then I would use it for short flights - I've been standing for longer on a train before it's not that difficult. Still, I can't see it happening

The difference is though, a train follows a set of tracks. An aircraft takes off at a good amount of speed and also travels at fast speed and if you hit any turbulence, surely it would be better if you are sat down in a seat.
