In my opinion, MGS4's theme tune is the best out of those two. Generally because the Battlefield 1942 theme is boring and repetitive - it was alright for the first 15 or so seconds however after that it got really boring. The MGS4 theme has more action-y aspects to it, and other aspects change throughout the theme.
