I'd certainly stop his visit, he has handled all this child abuse etc within the Catholic Church appallingly and I would happily perform a citizens arrest on him, from the very beginning he has covered the whole thing up, his past is very shady and he is indirectly responsible for some of the things going on if you ask me, it's disgusting.

I don't mind the fact it's the Pope who is visting, there are many Catholics in the UK and it is surely a good thing, but as an individual I cannot stand him and do not want him here. Stopping him visiting the UK would show the world we're not spineless and standing up against him. I also don't really like Catholicism in general, throughout the past few decades wherever there is poverty and upset in the world, Catholicism will intervene and take advantage of the vulnerable people. For example I find it insane that missionaries in AIDs-ridden parts of Africa are telling the people not to use contraception and giving them false hope. But then again I could probably find major problems with all the other religions if I wanted to.

The pope generally confuses me; he's supposed to be nice but apparently has said all these things and done these things, god knows.

It'd be an experience to see him.

I think it's great he's coming, but the amount it's costing to protect him and everything is ridiculous, the Catholic church could easily pay for it. I think it's kind of stupid the Head of the Church of England is welcoming the Head of the Catholic Church though. I'd quite like to see it.

If any other institution had done what the catholic church has done they would be disbanded due to public outcry. Since it's a religion it still remains somewhat untouchable and people are scared to speak out against it. Frankly I despise the pope and every person who believes what he did was morally sound, I think they're disgusting.

Although im a Protestant and not Catholic, i still have some respect for Catholicism because my nan's really big on the catholic faith and even went to see the last pope when he visited.
There's nothing wrong with him coming to the UK, although im not sure what to believe with the whole covering up of the child molestation, we all know what the tabloids are like.
