    Default Windows XP Black Screen

Hey, about an hour or two ago I started a scan with malwarebyte and when it ended it said I had one infection and I needed to restart my computer to clear it so I did and went to the toilet while it was loading up and then I came back and disc check was running so I left it then my computer restarted and then after the XP loading bar came up, after that a black screen came up.

I tried loading the computer in safe mode but it stops on Mup.sys or something, any ideas? +REP.

You'll probably have to end up re-installing, sorry.

But the issue could be caused by a variety of issues, so it would be quicker/easier to just reformat. Plus he has a virus anyway.
