    Default I-kube insurance

Anyone heard of I-kube? It's insurance which limits when you can drive in return for cheaper insurance.

If anyone uses it, can they answer this:

Does insurance cover immediately upon buying it or when the tracker is installed?

http://www.askmid.com/ownvehicle/ as soon as that shows your car as being insured you are legal to drive.

As soon as you buy it, the tracker does have to be in the car by end of the week or something

sounds a stupid idea to me, i don't want to be told when i can and can't drive. the idea of them tracking everything i do puts me off a bit too.

i'm the star in the reasonably priced car!

Tracker only switches on 11PM and switches off at 7am or w.e

It just so you are checked that your not driving it.

I have an I-kube policy on my 2010 Mazda 2 and i pay £2300 PA.

Youll have to do pass plus but things are really quite good. The tracker wasnt installed until about a month after my policy started and the engineer that came out was brillaint. He even picked up problems with the car that i wouldnt of known about had he not installed the tracker which is located just below the glove box inside the dash board.

My policy covered me instantly from the moment i payed them and is fully comprehensive.

Overall whilst the tracker is in the back of your mind... at the end off the day it saved me £2000 off my insurance and if my car was ever stolen then it could be tracked. (you can log into a website and look at where you car is or where you have been so its quite cool).

The tracker is ALWAYS on when the cars engine is running and will send out signals every hour when the car is parked up.

I probably wont get I-kube again next year but its been great so far and if i need to drive from 11pm-5am i can just use my mothers car as im insured on that .
