BEng in Computer Science (4 year sandwich)

Bachelor of Engineering.

One is Science, one is engineering, though presumably they're the same thing (software engineering).

I would think that building game engines or working with game software would require some engineering initiative, which will likely be sneaked into your educational dinner so to speak.

The courses are exactly the same regardless.

I believe in terms of Computer Science a BSC would be better but it really depends on the course. As for the other question, do straight Comp Sci and then if you want to go into the video games industry then specialise in it during your last year of the degree, games development will only limit your scope in the future and could potentially limit your skill set.
