    Default Video not supported?

Hey, so the other day I took my Xbox around my friends, and discovered that I had managed to break my HDMI cable. I got a new one, plugged it all in, I hadn't changed any settings on the TV/Xbox. I plugged it into the same port as before, except now it says on my TV 'Video not supported'.
I thought this might be the cable, so I took it back and bought a different one from a different store, tried that one and it's doing the exact same thing. I've tried a google search, but I can't find anything that doesn't end in the person's cable being broke, obviously mine is brand new.
Anyone had this/know of a fix?

On one of the ends that plugs in, the other side was fine, I think it got bent in my bag, and then when I took it out, the top come off and one of the actual pins inside the cable was bent to far out of place.
