Directline/gocompare/admiral are all worth looking at and finding the cheapest. Directline and admiral aren't on compare sites so they can offer better deals, gocompare is a compare site but it makes it a lot easier to find a cheap company. What car are you looking at?
Ford Ka is the car im looking at and i found £1,050 for that quinn which is just basic basic insurance.
Alexandra!
aviva were the cheapest for me with just myself on the policy

Isn't there a cheaper way of doing this when you're a new driver? Something like getting the car and insuring it on your parents' name and getting them to put you down as a named driver. Makes it cheaper or something. Not too sure.
Sorry if I ****** that up completely, just trying to help.![]()
Highly illegal... Insurers are always looking for ways out of having to pay and if they can prove you're the main driver (eg car kept at uni or something) then they won't pay outIsn't there a cheaper way of doing this when you're a new driver? It varies alot from car to car in some instances. Tesco worked out the best for me, while for others it's higher. Definitely try GoCompare for the mix of insurers, then try DirectLine and Admiral.
