I'm going to sound reallllyyyy harsh here but I think all this is a lost cause.

Maddie has been missing for three years now and at the age she is, will have changed in physical appearance dramatically IMO and I don't think she would recognise her own parents even if they recognised her.

That would be a good way for her to be found, but I'm with Recursion. This doesn't really change anything. It's like writing a story about someone who's gone missing and changing the plot. They're still missing, especially when no information about location and people have come up. The police already have the idea she was snatched, so there's nothing new to add :/

I do hope she is still alive, the chances are she was taken by a gypsy family or something along those lines - and often they 'adopt' the child. Hopefully one day she'll be found alive and well.
