If it plays more nicely with my CSS then I shall be a happy camper. I will wait for it to come out before I love or hate it. Admittedly I am a bit over critical about IE because of my experience with it in the past mind. How incredibly small-minded of you. IE only has the appearance of being the least secure browser because more people use it and more people target it. Look at firefox, they now have their fair share of bugs and exploits now they have a decent amount of users.
I think you should take more time to consider why you dislike IE, I'm sure you'll find a lot fewer reasons than you originally thought.
To the rest hating on IE: Microsoft have changed from the days where they just threw out any old thing, they now consider their user-base and emerging technologies (Not in every case, but a vast improvement from the days of old). If you're still basing it on the old days then you should grow up and get a clue.
Anyway enough of the small-minded people.
I shall definitely be trying the beta and look forward to using it soon. From the previews it's going to be a rather fabulous browser and I'm looking forward to seeing what they've done with the UI.

^ Pretty nice promo video.
I thought it was quite funny when it was first installed that it opened fine, fast, no problems what so ever. Then when I opened my Firefox 4.0 Beta 5 it opened and then went into one of it's "Not Responding" modes.
I already have done, no need to worry. I got a message saying to make sure one of my services was running when I first downloaded/tried to install IE9 from Firefox, I restarted that service and still wouldn't let me install IE. Although I decided to go and download it via Chrome, then I had to install a few Windows updates but installed fine afterwards really.
I can't install it as I need to keep the older version of IE for debugging purposes sadly.
So overall does it compare well with Chrome and Firefox?
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
Thing is though ive installed every windows update, ive checked what version of windows 7 i got to make sure im downloading the right one, but once the installation is done and i have to restart the laptop, it says Failed to Configure Windows at 97% every time restarting the laptop without the updateI already have done, no need to worry.
