New Laptop !

Hey guys , i need help on finding a new laptop , it is my birthday in 2 months so my mum & dad are getting me a iPod touch and a laptop , but i cant decide on a laptop , any ideas ?

(No Mac's or Advents or ones with built in webcams)

What is the reasoning behind them points? Maybe not a mac because they are expensive, not one with a webcam because your parents are concerned about your safety online but then not an advent... Is that because you think they are crap? Just guessing but can't see any other reason why.

It's kind of hard to recommend someone a laptop without knowing their price budget and needs. So you could start by telling us your price range and what you will be doing on it e.g gaming.
