Registering to Habbox.com

Hi,
I'm just wondering if there are any perks to registering to the main site - Habbox.com?

Seems a little odd that there is the option to register on a site that you can access and use without?

There rarely are users logged in, which I guess goes to show that not too many people actually do sign up, and you are indeed right that there aren't really any features at the moment which are specific for logged in users. I do however know that V6 will be completely different to this, and the log in will be a large part of the type of service you get from the site I think. There may be some content which is viewable only to logged in members, however I think as you say most of it is public.

Obviously, another main and vital reason to have the login, is so that staff can do their jobs. News reporters, content staff and managers etc have to log into the site to perform their tasks etc, however I agree we should look at working on ways to provide more for logged in users.

I completely forgot about the V6 update so I don't suppose this is a major concern anymore. I just wondered why there was the option to sign up in the first place

I know one of the perks is that your name automatically comes up when you comment on news articles. Not sure about others though.

I remember I originally signed up to Habbox.com years ago to make use of the trading system. You'd post what item you were looking for in hope someone was selling it. I think it only had about 8 pieces of furniture on at the time, so I just posted on HxF instead but yeah.. that along with other stuff was removed ages ago
