    Default 50MB Broadband Help.

I'll be honest I no pretty much fa about all this.

But today we got a thing threw the post saying we can get 50mb broadband for £28 a month,
I asked my mother how much we're currently paying with Virgin and it's £25 on there L package,
do you think it's worth the extra £3 a month for the 50mb? I'd call them up but people on here most probably no more. & would I see a big difference?

    Thanks.

Btw, i just checked my speed currently.

It would be worth it, but you will get about £70 worth of installation and activation charges on your first bill.

50gb isn't for hardcore downloaders lol, I barely download and I'm currently after using up about 60gb this month alone.

No, he mean't 50Mb as in the speed of the line - not the download allocation.

It really depends on what you use the internet for, I'm lucky if I get like 5Mb/s and that does me just fine!

Thanks. I don't really like the sound of the £70 installation fee.
How hard is it for them to fit it? o.O

Very easy. They just plug the new box they bring round in and call up VM to activate it. I think in some cases they do allow you to do it yourself for free.

Probably because you're on ADSL. 50MB is cable.

If you 'complain', eg. ring retentions they'll often do a deal for you. Otherwise, you can always ask for self install as Stephen said, although they do still charge about £10-£20 for delivery.
