i need to fix the phone somehow and cancel my contract! i cant pay £27 a month for a contract which im not using!

It might be the battery, if you know someone with the same battery, ask if you can borrow it + try it out.

Just out of interest, have you managed to get it working yet or found out what part(s) the water has damaged?
