The lesson they would get is a long ban? If they continue to break the rules, another ban. Eventually they will get pissed off and get the point.
It was removed from the helpdesk for a reason. Perm bans just make you lose users, ban them for a few months, they'll be careful the second time round, its common sense.

I guess the argument is he should, but it is something Jin does not want removed I think - thinking back to when we changed it from approval to captcha, Jin had to be convinced of that. At the end of the day it's up to Jin, innit!
