Content designers should be made to take a grammar test before they're taken on as staff, hurrr durrr

no its not? it doesnt take long to proof read something, or check each sentence or two after it's been written. or just copy it all into word or a similar program

Exactly, content designers, like news reporters need a good sense of SPAG. If not there was a problem with recruitment of them.

I don't read the content unfortunately, it's never been particuarly useful or interesting. I've mentioned it before a few times but it does need some spicing up imo. Then they can work on the grammar

In all fairness, if you're block writing a bunch of text for 5 different pages, sometimes mistakes go un-noticed. I am sure it'll be double checked.

May I suggest you hire hairpins as your official spell checker?

Yeah, I expect some mistakes. It is a lot of work and it's all written by teenagers. However, these are the first two paragraphs I saw and each of them had 3 or so mistakes. If every paragraph is like that then it's a bit dire. One of the qualities the Content Manager or whoever should look for when they hire staff is the ability to write well.

Well yeah hopefully this thread will make SPAG more important. Maybe that can be a trialists sole job for a bit or something? It'd be up to Joe I guess.
