-Heart's WWE Bragging Rights 2010 Review

    Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler
This was actually one of my favourite matches of the night. Very back and forth throughout the majority of the match, however I will criticise the lack of diversity between the two superstars throughout the match. An unpredictable ending and I thought Ziggler was going to win this one. Pleasantly surprised.

    Rating: 7/10

The Nexus (David Otunga & John Cena) vs. Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes - WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships
A match which was made on the night, which made for a nice surprise as I rate all the wrestlers involved. I would of liked to see McIntyre & Rhodes hold on to the titles longer, so hopefully they will get their rematch. WWE seem to be playing skip rope with this Otunga-Cena relationship, as one minute they come across as friends and then the next Cena is planting Otunga onto the canvas with an Attitude Adjustment, which I felt was slightly unnecessary. It was a solid match and a nice surprise. However I do think it's a bit silly that Cena was involved in this match when Barrett stated that he didn't want Cena on Team RAW because he wanted him to be "solely focused" on Barrett's WWE title match later in the night. Bit of inconsistency there.

    Rating: 6/10

    Ted DiBiase vs. Goldust
I hate this storyline, so I was always expecting to hate this match - which I could tell WWE would add to the card. Horrible storyline that's been churned out by the WWE, however it does mean that Maryse gets more screen time which is always a positive.

    Rating: 2/10

Layla w/ Michelle McCool vs. Natalya - WWE Divas Championship
Piss break. I caught the end of the match, and I wasn't really surprised. This LayCool gimmick is getting so boring now.

    Rating: 2/10

Kane vs. Undertaker - WWE World Heavyweight Championship (Buried Alive Match)
Very slow and boring at times, and way too predictable. The interference from Nexus was completely pointless and unnecessary, and really put a complete downer on the whole match for me. Can see Taker taking another few months off now, and maybe starting a feud with Barrett nearer to WM27.

    Rating: 5/10

Team SmackDown vs. Team RAW - 14-man Interpromotional Elimination Tag Team Match
My favourite match of the night. Non-stop action which always makes for a good watch, and some fantastic athletic and wrestling ability on show. I said from the start that I thought Team SD would win this one, but as the match went on I had more and more reason to believe that RAW would get revenge from last year. I was dissapointed with the lack of involvement from the likes of Miz, R-Truth, etc. There were a couple of noticeable errors which you can expect from a match of this pace and intensity, with the worst of them all being Mysterio's failed Springboard, which was just painful to watch. The pin wasn't much better. Also, was Big Show supposed to make it in before the count of 10? I wasn't sure about that one. Anyway, good match.

    Rating: 8.5/10

Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett w/ John Cena - WWE Championship
The biggest disappointment of the night by far. This main event promised so much, and there were a range of possibilities that the WWE could of gone with. When Barrett announced that if he lost he'd fire Cena, it all became alot more interesting. However the pace of the match was extremely slow, and there was WAY too much focus on Cena and Barrett clashing heads rather than the actual match. Nexus' involvement when the ref went down was predictable, and I was secretly hoping that Taker would rise up and help out Orton, although I knew it was highly unlikely. I also had a sneak suspicion before the match started that Miz might cash in his MITB. I always hate World title matches at a PPV ending in a disqualification, and this was no different. Make no mistake about it, this match was a big, big let down.

    Rating: 4/10

    Verdict
For the amount of build-up and potential that Bragging Rights had, it was a very dissapointing PPV. There were alot of superstars that I would of liked to see more of in this PPV, and I definetely question the finish to a number of these matches.

Survivor Series up next on November 21st, which will hopefully be a big improvement.

    Overall Event Rating: 5/10

Going purely on star ratings rather than analyses, as I'll have to do when the DVD check disc comes through my door to review, I'd give the matches the following:

    Ziggler/Danielson ***
    Tag Titles **
    Goldust/DiBiase **
    Divas Title **
    Bured Alive ***
    SmackDown vs. RAW ****
    WWE Title ***

Survivor Series 2010 Main Event for RAW has been confirmed.

    WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
Randy Orton (c) vs. Wade Barrett - Singles match for the WWE Championship, with Special referee John Cena. If Barrett wins the championship, Cena will be free of The Nexus, but if Barrett doesn't win the championship, Cena is fired from the WWE.

Predictable - not looking forward to that match.

Got my review copy of SmackDown vs. RAW 2011 yesterday and I can't check it out as my PS3 decided to die again. Having to buy a new one on Sunday as Sony won't send me one.

I'm sure stables (Spirit Squad from recent memory) have been 'allowed' to pass around the tag titles which would negate the point in the one on monday.

Yeah but it's usually a special rule they have, I think the idea is to get across the eventual rebellion by Otunga. I think he, skip sheffield and darren young will form some sort of group with perhaps Cena and someone else? Take down the Nexus kinda thing. I dunno.

Anyone going to the Live show's in UK? I'm going on Mon 8th for Raw at MEN in Manchester.

Exactly this. It's just a matter of time before Otunga turns on Barrett and Nexus, however I think you're forgetting that Skip Sheffield is just injured, not out of the group for sure.

Hating the idea of Slater and Gabriel as champions. Thought Rhodes and McIntyre were a brilliant tag team and should of held onto the titles longer, and personally I just can't stand Heath Slater. Absolute tool, acting skills aswell as his wrestling skills are terrible.

When he got injured, Wade did a speech about how Sheffield was weak and that the Nexus is better off without him.
