About the badges - there could be stages. So you could get a badge saying you donated a small furni, then a small rare, then a rare, then super rare? Idk, it's just ideas. Then in coins you could get a 1c coin, then 5c coin, then 10c, 20c, 50c, 50c+?

    Idk...but yeah.

Again, DJs being rich, you can't (legally) just buy a load of Thrones and say you're rich. And obviously you can't mature over-night. But these are maybe things we should consider when hiring DJs in the future. Are they well known, are they mature, are they rich. obviously the decided factor is their voice clip...but if there are 2 DJs who are the same standard, but one happens to be very rich & the other doesn't...go with the rich one...

that's just my opinion. I'm not super-rich or super-famous. I have a nice room, but I could be a LOT richer if I tried or bough some credits once in a while.

And the average age on habbo has decreased a lot as well...the average age is probably 13/14. So many 12 year olds, if we can hook them in by offering furni - it's easier.

But yeah just suggestions, don't hate

Ikr. That's irritating. I think the standard of DJs on trial is very high though, and I believe all the guys have broken voices (as far as I know) so that's good.

Can't possibly, I can only see 1050 of it being used towards competitions. Hopefully senior management have the balance.

It's such a pity, because from day one of the forum I recorded every donation in a thread dedicated to donations, and included the very first item donated which was a study desk. Somewhere during Competition Management changes, corners were cut, and in all fairness we can't blame today's management for someone elses failings.

I also used a thread specifically to thank the donator for their contribution, and highlighted which competition their donation was used for.

Big donators, had competitions named after them lol. Not something I've seen since I quit.

I can just see your name in lights 'The Milestone Stakes'

I do agree with you, I would not want a tacky badge
It's the quality of your posts that count, not the quantity!

I've already sent a PM to MattG, Roxy, Inseriousity. and even Catzsy as she was the previous AGM and unfortunately Matt doesn't know so I doubt Roxy will either. Matt said that Jin may have an idea so I'll see if they are there. I know that some were used for the Habbox Lottery but I agree, I think at tops only 1500 were probably used and its a shame to see them all go to waste.

And yes, a nice idea. We had a "Saurav's Birthday Bash" but I think it would be nice to sort of thank them and errr, what's the word? them and in a way use big donators for inspiration (that sounds rather rude but I didn't mean it like that ) so we'll see what we can do I guess!

Yeah the dates were before my time so I'm unaware where that large donation kinda went to. But hopefully Jin or someone else will have the answer for us!

Regarding the "Donations Thread". It will be coming and is currently in WIP, I'm just waiting for Roxy to add more names to the thread within the AGM forums and if there is no more people to add then I will make sure it gets posted straight away.

I do feel it's very important to see how donations are used, else members like myself, jrh2002, Wiizzz and others will think twice about donating again.
My predecessor wasn't very organised, admin-wise. When I came to the department, I had no idea who had won what, who needed their prizes, who had already got it hence why I created a 'competitions winners' thread. I remember being in the department during 2009 and seeing competitions where the prizes were credits donated by jrh2002. When he resigned, I tried to contact him to get the furni he had but I never got it and I imagine that a bulk of the credits are now lurking in his inactive account.

As you've also mentioned in the thread, management team started cutting corners so some of his credits may have been used elsewhere like HxSS without any acknowledgement of it (because of the cutting of corners) and then they could also be in Jin's account, ready and waiting to be used but how I was meant to use them after not knowing we still had them was anyone's guess. I remember a thread by H0BJ0B that had all donations in for the competitions department but as the system changed where AGMs would only recieve donations and people stopped donating in general really, I unstickied them. After a sudden upsurge in donating to the competitions department, I placed a donations thread that keeps track of who's donated what and where it's gone. I imagine that in the future, this'll get replaced by the Habbox-wide donations thread that general management are organising.

I would love to find out who has the unused credits. I was going to donate another 5000 but can people be trusted? Until there is a good explanation I don't think I could hand over any more.

Obviously not the people who should have them

So HobJob is a thief stealing donations that people make out of the goodness of their own heart? If this is the case I can see donations being almost none as there is no safety precautions that can be put in place to stop this.

I made it quite clear which department the credits were for so if HXSS is not the competitions department I will be very annoyed :@ I would sooner that they have been stolen than people they were not meant for using them. I donated the creds so that the competitions could have much better prizes and with that attract more entries to try give the department a much needed boost.

I seem to remember the AGM's were going to be in charge of the donations and I think that thje department managers were going to have to transfer the majority over to NVR and then get it back as it was needed. Last time I looked HobJob still used the same MSN so somebody could ask him and also ask NVR to see if he can shed any light on it. I seem to remember a previous manager doing a runner with all the stuff so find the idea of it happening again shocking.

I donated to give Hx a boost in the departments I thought deserved it and/or needed it, to give people who enjoy habbo something that is no use to me and NOT to help some dishonest person get rich. If thie donations were stolen then there must have been a cover up somewhere in Habbox as questions had to have been asked when so much has vanished. Lets hope this turns out to be something about nothing with the furni being held safely somewhere and what a unexpected bonus that would be to benefit the comps department.

This is going back a long time and it seems most the people who can give an explanation have left but maybe one of the AGM's can chase them up or at least try. Perhaps this would make a good quest its like an Indianna Jones Film Just that there might have been a tomb raider who has removed the treasure before Indianna arrives. :S

Jin or Matt might want to post to give you more of a confirmation on this but.. In our management meeting a little while ago we were talking about this. Large donations from now on (I think) will be on Jins account. There will then be a separate account that some / all of general management can access. This account will be topped up with credits and furniture by Jin when things are starting to run a little low. Meaning that the main bulk of the large donations will be left in the hands of Jin.

I would assume that this has come about because of things like this happening and large sums of furniture going missing or us not really knowing what happened to it. Hopefully this way we will have a much better idea of what credits / furniture we are using and where they are going. As you said it may be hard to find where those 10,000+ credits went but I think now we have much better control over the donations we have compared to a few years ago.

The radio throw prizes about all over the place and can never be regulated like most departments can be so dont care about those 5000 I imagine Jess got drunk and gave them away in a day :p I remember the radio using plenty so no issues there.

Almost 4000 creds are unaccounted for so either HobJob handed them over to NVR who will then have some idea of what they were used for/where they went/are or HobJob still has them/used them for comps and not bothered to say where the prizes had gone or something else It would be nice to get some explanation from the few people involved and although not regulars here they are still knocking around and I am sure they would hate the idea that people might think they may be dishonest . I know NVR and HobJob from my time here and know they are both honest and hard working so find this all very strange. Its a little naughty to point the finger of wrong doing without conducting a full investigation first There were rumours of 2 drunk Hx staff in the Habbo lapdancing club spending money on all unthinkable things

Do new managers get a set job description that they are not allowed to change without the GM's approval? It seems the list of furni donations come and goes more times than I have Where has the list gone???????????? Has it been removed because somebody was to lazy to bother??????? Nobody seems to answer where it is when asked in this thread....... The competitions department was going to note on each comp where the prize had come from and then update the donation list (how often has this been a good idea and then scrapped only to become a good idea 12 months later to be scrapped again???) Surely the good ideas that are agreed time and time again only for a new manager to the scrap it is wrong? The good ideas should be set in stone on a department manager job description and updated as and when needed (of course they can pass some of resposibilities to others but then they need to make sure its done) Its crazy how often a new manager comes in and then cuts corners which loses a lot of the previous managers hard work only for the next manager along to have to put back what should have still been there.

I thought the AGM's taking the donations was a way to control it? Jin will get fed up having to give out 3hc's every day when he has far more important things to do.
