    Hey Guys and girls,


    Im applying for the 'BTEC Level 3 Diploma in IT Yr1' course and i was just wondering what the Yr1 means in it

    It probably just means that it's the first year course not the second year one.

    the first year

    it could also mean it's only for 1 year (most level 3 college courses are 2 years)

    Cheers for replies so quickly, it says that its " The 18 unit Extended National Diploma is equivalent to 3 A Levels. " and that there students go on to HE.. I was just wondering, does the length of the course effect getting into HE atall, its 18 units so i should be able to get into uni with it.

    think you need 4 a levels to get into uni, could be wrong though.

    Yes, however with BTEC's you get UCAS points, doing an 18 unit course i belive gives me enough ucas points to take this onto uni.

    aha, was trying to check my facts, will double check with my other friend tomorow whos just come out of uni, she should know seeing as i think she did a BTEC -shrug
