If he was so quick to do something then block you like he did he must have regretted it. I hate saying this because it would suggest really cruel things although maybe he was just looking to enjoy his night. That, or maybe someone else had already staked a claim on him and he was feeling remorse.

He must of had a reason for blocking you, and maybe he is too embarrassed or scared to tell you himself. If i was you i would be really annoyed and wouldnt bother talking to him.

If I'm perfectly honest it sounds like he liked you, then went off you and now (presumably) likes you again. Waste of your time, who knows how quickly he won't find you attractive again? Unless you want a one night thing you should move on. It's only one guy after all, he isn't any different from the rest.

Ya dont think he blocked you for another girl or something? Then things haven't worked out there and he comes running back to you. Only reason I can think of why he'd totally disappear and then suddenly want you again.
