Default I want a new car.

So basically I have an X reg fiesta 1.25 zetec at the moment, it's just hit 90,000 miles though and I want to shift it before it gets much more. It runs perfectly and all that. Ideally i'd like an A3 but I don't think I can afford one at the moment really.. Would love to hear peoples suggestions on what I could get next? Want something with a bit more power, not loads, a 1.6 would be fine

If you're looking at something around A3 sized in 1.6 format, the typical good ones would be Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra, Renault Megane, VW Golf etc, all of which come in a 1.6, but are usually quite basic models

Many smaller cars (Fiesta sized) also come as a 1.6, many of which, with that engine, are the "warm hatch" models; the Fiesta Zetec S models for example are 1.6, as are the new Clio GT. Something like that would be better

Yeah I was looking for a nice zetec s, quite nice cars. It's next to impossible to find one that hasn't been modded though Focus' are quite nice as well, not really looked into them though. A golf is definite possibility though, theres a nice looking black one for sale in the area, might go and have a look tomorrow. Anything I should look out for?

Just rang up insurance to find out how much it would go up if I got a zetec s, £6 a month extra, so happy with that! Found one that hasn't got any mods, they take part exchange as well..hopeful!

It's a W reg so on the older side but it's got 77k which I don't think is too bad. £1800 as well, which isn't bad considering it hasn't been modded at all, they tend to be more expensive with no mods.. just trying to work out if I can afford it, need to find out how much i'd get for my current car, trouble is, it has small dent at the front and the paintwork isn't too good on the boot, reckon that will bring the value down loads. I get paid friday, so i'll work it out then

As you can see, it looks in pretty good nick.
