    I would defo get it checked out, you could have just briused the muscle badly and this could be scar tissue. It could also be a fracture, a similar thing happened to me but i landed on it at an odd angle first a bruise but then as you said it hurt for my bed covers to touch it. I also felt bones grinding together if i moved my wrist in a circular motion. I was in a cast for 2 weeks and then a removable one to imobilise it but not quite soo much as before. So defo get it checked out.

    It could also be an extreme case of internal bleeding although i doubt it

    In a cast ?! I can't be in a cast I have cadets and boating to be doing. And my bones grind to doesn't half make a disgusting noise! thanks for your help +Rep tomoz I ran out.

    You defo need to get it checked out then if your bones are grinding together. The cast is only to prevent you from damaging it more and to make sure it heals. It really is the best thing to do. I actually cried so much when they put mine on as i had just started playing rugby... in fact I did it at my first training session.
