    Hey,
Out of pure interest, what is your favourite android app (game / tool / etc). Curious for both free and paid ones

    Cheers x

Handcent SMS is a great program, it's much faster for text messages if you store a lot of them, also Swype keyboard is good too, much faster to type on but you have to look around for an APK unless you can get onto the BETA.

And for a couple of games, Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja ;D

If you are looking for free paid ones, 4shared is very good for them for example. search SetCPU.apk

SetCPU is free on XDA-Developers.com, it's just paid on the market anyway

engadget is probably my most used application.
XDA-Developers is being used a lot now, since I rooted my phone.
Urban Dictionary passes time when bored.
Angry Birds - good game, quite addicting.

i actually find "go sms" to be better than handcent. its less glitchy and sleeker.

    also
wikitunes: a different media player, definitely the best one i found. nice interface, but the real seller is it has a feature that looks up the lyrics of your songs and displays them on the screen in time with the song playing. also includes a widget for your homepage.

slidescreen: i dont have much use for this since i only use facebook, but if you have a bunch of social network sites its an app that shows latest updates from facebook, myspace, twitter, your email, and basically whatever you want, on one page and has a really friendly interface.

gmote: turn your phone into a remote for your computer.

music box: search and download any song onto your phone for free. basically a limewire for your phone.

advanced task killer: does what it says, a convenient task tray where you can select apps to terminate when you arent using them, great for saving battery life.

instant heart rate: i dont really need this really but its just awesome. it measures your heart rate when you place your index finger on your camera and it detects the slight change in color for every heartbeat on your fingertip.
