    Default does anyone feel like

they're too good for the place they live or position they're in?

i'm actually being 100% serious here, that's why it's not in spam. i think about it a lot, if i was born somewhere else i might have more opportunities. when i look around the people in my area there is a lot of obesity, drugs, violence, unemployment etc.... not everyone but a majority of people are. yet we're voted the best place to live in scotland apparently.... i feel bad for thinking it cause my family/friends are here and they all love it but Britain has NOTHING to offer me or any other foreign people. & i love foreign people jsyk. i think i could do better things, & i plan on doing it, if i was out of uk.

idk, who feels the same as me. i think britian is crap lol. i don't get why people are like "WOW you're from britain amazing" is it? no...

Yes, I do. I dont mean to sound big-headed but most of the people in my area arent as academically smart as I am. I plan to go to England for University. Most people in my area dont even go to Uni. Dont get me wrong they are nice people, just arent the brightest. That being said my family such as cousins who lived here have all been on to become teachers. I plan to live abroad. I'd like to live where my girlfriend lives, it seems more of a, i dont want to say posh, but smarter area.

I don't feel like that, however, I don't think I am old enough to decifer where I wish to live or what i want to do with my life. I should know by now as I am 16 but I just don't. My neighbour hood isn't as bad a portrayed, it is just where it is on the map in my town - living next to the worst street in featherstone. However, they have seemed to calmed down from years ago, a fire engine was sure to go up there every night. I think, well I know, I am not the smartest girl around, my school was full of smart people, someone I know wants to be a lawyer, and although I live in a small town it doesn't necessarily mean we are rubbish.
The world's fastest knitter lives in my town, it was my classmates grandma, that's showing that people do have breaks and do accomplish things. (I don't think she is fastest anymore but meh).

Overall though, I don't feel like that, but sometimes I do, but I also think when I want to get out, where will I go? What will I do? How will I afford to go somewhere else. Also I know, that my parents are on about moving house as my mum is disabled and I'm for it but I also know I will miss the current house we live in, as I have lived in there since I was born. Maybe I like being spoon fed I don't know. I am independent but want to stay where I am.
Also, I have never been abroad so that might be another reason that I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I'm glad I was born in Britain and wouldn't have it any other way but I absolutely hate where I live. It's an ugly, boring, slang-infested **** hole full of chavs and wasters which gets worse by the day. Going to get away as soon as I can, there's nothing for me here. Unlike you I truly do believe Britain is amazing however and take pride in being British. We have an amazing history and while there is a lot of crap around the United Kingdom there are some really wonderful places and people here. Plus we have the best accents obviously and a Queen which is awesome. We aren't called Great Britain for no reason.

I agree aswell tbh. The majority of the people where i live (Good ol' croydon) is like the worst place in britain i swear. I feel like i should be with people who are more on my level instead of hoodrats really. I think if you want opportunities, then you make em. Like i wanna go to oxford, but where i live isnt gonna stop me, if anything it makes me wanna do better so i can get out of here.

Saying that, my road is lovely and i really dont wanna move from my house

I don't feel like that about the place as such because I could realistically have gone anywhere, but I blame being here and being in our society as a whole for never having been given a reason to bother. I have no reason to prove how much I can excell except for that wonderful "do it for yourself", but I already know I'm great so why would I do anything when I don't have any need to :S

haha god no I'm the total opposite. I constantly feel like I've wasted every opportunity that has been handed to me on a plate. I feel like I don't deserve to live in my house as I never contribute anything, that I don't deserve to live in London as I don't make the most of it at all but mostly I feel like I don't deserve to live in this country which is truly a wealth of opportunity if you want to make the most of it. I'd swap places with someone who was really going to make a go of my wasted opportunities in an instant.

but I'm too god damn lazy to change any of it.

Yeah I hate it, I live in the "2007 worst place to live" and it's just full of chavs and people who aren't going anywhere with their life (not everyone OBVIOUSLY) but the majority of them. I really want to move and go to a much better place.

i've known what i've wanted to do since 2008. my town is really quite nice but it's just young people that ruin it, tbh i'm fine cause a lot of them give me motivation. to not be like that and actually do something with my life yeah...
i'm not the smartest either but i think if given the chance i can do what i want and make a difference. our town is most famous for sandi thom staying here lol don't think it's anything to brag about but nah that's cause she moved somewhere else and was rich enough to go to a school that'd give her a foot in to the door she wanted to take.

i'm not gonna take britain for granted, especially not scotland. it will always be my home obviously. my family have always moved about though, my grandad was from ireland, my mum lived in glasgow but moved here. i want to go even further. & i'm glad i got all the free education i did here but honestly, if i was somewhere else that required having to work my ass off i would do better than here. cause here i can just slack off, that's what most people my age have done and are all unemployed ._. i still don't understand why great britain is so 'great'. i woud understand if this was years ago but it's going down the **** hole. most places are but i just hate britain.. the way it's run, the diet, education, health services, moral, cultures. EVERYTHING.. in my view we don't stand for anything but disgrace. that's maybe too extreme and rude but it's really how i see it.

i will make my opportunities it'll make it more worth it cause i have to work for it

the reason i ask is cause i want to go to idk france, sweden, switzerland, finland, australia, germany, china, japan but most of all s. korea(A). & people say it's just cause i'm a koreaboo/weibo... whatever. i like the culture, i love absolutely everything about south korea so i'm not gonna let someone tell me it's stupid. my tutor told me to forget trying. so i was thinking MAYBE if i lived somewhere else in the first place i'd have a better chance of social mobility. even if uk is an open class system it's so much harder going up the ranks than it is in finland etc. it's like i'm practically stuck here forever even if i make the effort, so i'm just gonna have to find a random opportunity to take. i'm sure i will but idk.
