Yeah I actually do lol. I've lived in hackney all my life. Hackney of all places is the worst. And I would say I was alway's in the top groups at everything because it was hackney... And I think I came out okay from living there although I don't speak liek tis or spel liek dis. But I do think if I grew up somewhere else how different my life would of been. i.e I would never have joined this forum or met any nice people online. But If I did grow up somewhere else I do sometimes think I would be going out alot more I would have more of a social life. Noone in hackney ever went out due to them all living 3-5 buses away so as soon as school was out everyone needed to get home -.-

Primary school was amazing secondary wasnt to great.

I've never really thought about it. On a smaller scale, I remember being top of the class in food tech but that didn't make me think I deserved somewhere better because I liked the challenge of keeping that title and there were some people in class who it helped having someone top to try and beat. I used to be a selfish arrogant ******* but I've grown out of that now and just count my lucky stars I live somewhere where I have human rights, good water, good food etc.

tbh i think virtually everyone feels that way. when you spend the first 18+ years of your life in one place, everywhere else you visit is bound to seem "cooler" or full of more opportunities because you've grown to ignore the opportunities that are right nearby. unless you live in a gigantic city, there's not too many opportunities usually to be had. really, i feel like hating where you live is part of growing up. it's natural, it's neither good or bad, but either way wanting to get the hell out of there is completely understandable.

i didnt think i was too good for where i grew up, i think a more apt description would be i felt like i didnt fit in. and i was probably right, although i did make some fine friends. but now that i'm in new york ive found people i fit with perfectly, and lots of people are the types of people who i've always wanted to be. if anything, now i feel like i'm not good enough for the university i am going to haha. some of the friends i've made there are legitimate geniuses, not taking that word lightly, who i feel like know exactly what they are going in life while i still feel so unsure.

this thread in a nutshell: bunch of wealthy, ego-inflated kids who expect everything in life to be handed to them on a silver plate. honestly, opportunity is everywhere. half of you haven't even finished school so you've got no idea what the real world is like anyway. quit crying.

Oh you are alive Blake was worrying about you yesterday. HOW'S YOUR SITUATION RIGHT NOW

It's not off topic because Harry's entire state is under water at the moment, which probably hinders his lifestyle a little

    This.

    Opportunity IS near by.
Life is what you make of it, if you sit on your backside doing nothing all day and not looking for jobs then your obviously gonna get nowhere.
Go out, get a job (it's not that hard - there are plenty of places recruiting), money makes the world go round, sitting at home crying about not having money or opportunities isn't going to change anything.

Well, I also hate this country, but I am proud to be British. I have also decided where I wish to live when I turn 25, and that is Canada, I went there once, and I loved the country, so I wish to live there. It is a much better place and a better quality of life than where I live.

i know this is a bit of a bump but what im saying is relevant i guess lol.
I've been thinking about this since this thread was posted and really I do feel similar.
It's not that I hate this country, but I don't like where I am in life if that makes sense lol.

I sometimes feel like I should be more "well-off" and live in a better city, have more money, a better house, better clothes etc. I feel like I'm meant to be rich and not that I'm poor or anything atm, but I just feel like really I should have more money and I should be apart of one of those families that are rich and famous for nothing/for being good business men. IDK why I've been feeling like this, but it's like when we're decorating my room atm I'm like oh I like that wallpaper, and the parents are like "oh yeah you would wouldn't you? £20 a roll, I don't think so!" and i'm like, well we aren't that poor so idk why we cant buy nice stuff.
mayb I'm just like a wannabe rich/famous person or rly stuck up or something but I feel like I should have a lot of money and buy lots of nice clothes and like work at a fashion magazine and be rly good at it. - oh maybe im just gay but yeah there's my contribution to this thread
