Gina you just answered your own question.. By smoking, they're ******* up their life. They'll soon notice, and if they got a brain in there they'l lstop.how can you let someone smoke?
your just sitting there watching their body suffer, thinking it looks sooooooooooooooooooooo cool and thinking that their the best because there smoking, its abit hard to just see someone going through it
especially if their your mate and you care about them
There is nothing you can do I don't mean it the way that it sounds but it's her life and you have to let her learn from her own mistakes. I wouldn't ditch her because of something you don't like but just maybe explain to her that you don't want her doing it around you because if your with her when she is doing it, it also gives you a bad reputation as well. My mate started drinking and people thought I did too when I didn't people just assume these things. Good luck![]()
You're telling me that she can freely smoke at lunchtime and get away with it? Surely a teacher would notice? And if they haven't noticed, inform them. Don't worry about what she or others may think of you, it's doing the right thing and it's stopping her from doing something she'll only regret later on in life.
Starting at 12 is a very young age, and will only lead to greater complications as time progresses.
Your statement is so narrow-minded its unbelievable. The NHS is in tatters as it is and having yet another person use tax payers money wasted on them due to smoking is ludicrous. It's not just her body its affecting, it's effectively the whole of the UK; my money could go to someone who actually needs it and not people such as yourself.
Besides, thousands of people die yearly in the UK from lung cancer because of second hand smoking. Whilst she doesn't have to be friends with this person, it still affects those that are walking past and breathing it in.
smoke with her

tell her how uncool it is to smoke and say to her if she doesn't stop you're going to tell her parents lol or take her to someone older than her and get them to tell her how pathetic it is..maybe she will listen

Not really anything you can do. You can warn her and try to help but ultimately it's her choice if she wants to smoke.

I've left, but I still visit sometimes!
An old friend of mine when we started year 7 got friendly with some "bad men". By the end of the year he was smoking. Now bearing in mind I've known him for nearly 14 years, and he probably my best friend at the school at the beginning of year 7 - I just left him to it.
Why? Because otherwise I'd have to hang out with people I don't particularly like just for my one friend. By the time he started I had new friends and wanted to be with them, not him. I told him what he was doing was stupid but he wouldn't listen so I let him do what he wanted - it's his life.
At the end of the year he was put down in all his classes for poor performance, and now you can start to see the impact of the cigarettes nearly 3 years on. He's a lot chubbier than he was and his teeth are all stained, and he always smells of smoke. It's not nice, and whenever I look at him I think back to my best friend I had in primary school and wish he was there. But not much I can do really. I tried to tell him what he was doing but he wouldn't listen.
Really, there's not much you can do. Tell your friend you think smoking is stupid and dangerous etc. Tell them to stop before it's too late. You can tell a teacher - whether they'll do anything I don't know. Tell the social services if you're really that desperate, but tbh, go and find a new group of friends and hang out with them if you don't want to be around the smokers.

The bus driver told her its going to ruin her body ect she doesnt listen and her mum lets her? is the most shocking part.
