It's not her best, but the way she's so blatant about the message is good and makes Ke$ha and Katy Perry's efforts look a bit half-hearted. It's uplifting and I desperately want to dance when I hear it. Personally I don't understand all the Eurovision comments it's been getting and even if people feel that way, why they're saying it as if it's a bad thing.
I knew it wouldn't be a ballad, because RedOne, Elton John and God knows who else mentioned the "sledgehammering dance beats" and called it an "I Will Survive killer" and PopJustice said it was a song to dance in a club to. I was still confused about how the bit she sung at the VMAs would fit in and I was still confused when she sung it again with a bit more rhythm at a Monster Ball in Paris. I'm really pleased with it though - I didn't get the sense of "oh was that it" that I was expecting.
