Default Can't get a hold of Myself! [Repp]

The title seems weird But it's about Hair !

Just had my hair cut short from medium length. Im looking to try get my hair to hold pretty much, all the products or techniques i use means it goes down throughout the day or in miniutes. Ive got a range of Products from Shockwaves Gel/Texture Matte to styling gel. I usualy stlye my hair when its dry after i shower on a morning and ive tried using only each product and mixing them so Gel and Gel/Clay.

Need some help and advice and tell me what you do !

Would need to know more about your hair as it naturally is to help really - my own is perfectly straight and fairly fine so what I use (clay/spray/gel/wax/putty) depends on what I want to do with it that day and they all work for different things, but someone with thick curly hair is obviously going to have more trouble finding something that holds. Shockwave's "ultra strong mess constructor" has the strongest hold of the ones I have, and if I need it to be an even harder hold I'll style it roughly then wet my hands before finishing off, as it seems to dry more solidly when it's mixed with a tiny bit of water. Also depends of course on how you're trying to style it, a mohican will be a harder hold to achieve than a simple fringe flick

Nothing really extravagant about my hair, tends to grow out and long than just down. The style i go for is just hand ran up the back of my head to get that stuck up and then just held up in a style on the front/top. Does it matter if i use something with wet hair and Dry? and the mess constructor sounds very strong !!!

use the hairspray and then like run your hands through and keep styling it as you spray and try to spray under the layers and things if that makes sense in any way
