Ive just seen this happen now and I've seen someone advertising it also...pretty sure its a new one!
As you know, the new spider pets are out for 15c and some people are desperate for one.
Also, the 'legs tarantula' furni (worth around 1c) has been around for donkey's years and is a moving piece of furni.
Some habbos have been wandering around 'SELLING NEW PET TARANTULA, THE ONLY TRADABLE PET...10c!'They give legs tarantula and other habbo is scammed out of 10c.
Pretty easy to spot but just giving a heads up just incase.

Always was bound to happen and I think people might fall for it, depending how desperate they need it or if they can't afford the full catalog price.

This is why I don't think Habbo should have released Spider pets when there are pieces of furniture which are Spiders! Anyway, this is definitely something to look out for but just remember - pets aren't tradeable

Wow, this is a good scam tbh. Obviously I am not siding with the scammers as it is silly to do this. Cheers for telling us all
