BLACKBERRY CURVE 8520 - TRACKPAD HELP?!

Hey,
So I brought a blackberry off a mate who's moved away, abroad. and the phone worked fine, but after a few days the trackpad didn't work, so I though right ok, nothing majour, Next time I come to use, its completly DEAD. So, I brought a Track Pad from blackberry, and fitted it, Perfectly.
The problem is, the phone track pad still doesn't move...

Please help, Is there a software issue or what?!

Make sure you have properly fitted the joint into the socket connection.

If you have done it correctly try cleaning the contacts using a blower tube or by blowing straight into the area.

If this doesn't work I would try and send it back, or take it to a local repair shop

Thankyou for this, I have made sure its connected propperly, And will try and blow into it again, May try and get into a repair shop too.
